Fiddle Recital 2.00pm

A fiddle recital celebrating the music of Sliabh Luachra and that of our own Con Curtin will take place on stage in the square from 2.00pm.




Wren Boy Parade

4.00pm from Village Hall to the Square

The Wran, the wran, the king of all birds ……… and so the story goes.  In Brosna, batches of Wren Boys(& Girls), in regalia to match any carnival parade, are reviving the tradition.  The parade will start at the village hall parading up the village and culminating in the village square. This is an event not to be missed with drama, music, stories, songs and dances all on stage in the village square.

We are honoured to have the Minister of State for the Diaspora – Ciarán Cannon, joining us to enjoy the music, song and dance and to address our communities from far and near in the village square. Invited guests include Kerry TDs, Councillors, celebrities and musicians.

Welcoming the acclaimed Donie Nolan and his band who are playing at the Céilí in Brosna Parish Hall.  We are looking forward to seeing set dancers from far and wide hitting the floor and raising the rafters with this rousing band

Singing Evening – 4.00pm

Hosted by John Cronin, a fine singer – we have celebrity singers joining us but this is an opportunity for all you warblers out there to get your voices heard.

Monday 1st July

5K Walk 4.00pm

A gentle walk starting in Mount Eagle to view the wonderful landscape and to clear the head.

Scattering 5.00pm

A scattering of musicians to round off the festival and to say farewell to all the emigrants, supporters and great musicians ‘till we meet again’

Galty Valley Catering @galtyvalley and D & N will be in the square to keep us well fed and nourished with their varied and delicious cuisine
